On 22 March, Chris Gribben (NZSTI Agronomist) joined 20 attendees at Nelson and Marlborough Bowling Club greenkeepers field day held in Nelson/Tasman region. Throughout the day, they visited 4 Clubs – Riwaka, Motueka, Mapua and Ngawhatu Bowling Clubs. During the events they discussed many topics including:

• Weed Control treatments arising from a recent article in NZ Turf Management Journal
• The benefits physical treatment can have on greens
• Irrigation systems
• The benefits and negatives of introducing starweed into greens
