David Ormsby

David Ormsby has been employed by NZSTI as an agronomist since 1989 and is one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded agronomists. David provides agronomy services to clients throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Central North Island regions.
David specialises in the project management of construction of sports turf facilities and has worked on projects throughout New Zealand and internationally. David received the Bowls New Zealand Merit Award for service to bowls greenkeeping in 2010, and the New Zealand Golf Course Superintendent’s Association Distinguished Service Award in 2011.
David has published many technical articles in industry magazines and is the Editor of the NZSTI Fungicide Guide.
David holds the following qualifications and accreditations that relate to his role:

National Certificate in Adult Education and Training
World Bowls Accredited Synthetic Greens Tester
