Tara McLeod
Sports Surfaces & Equipment Assistant Manager
Tara re-joined NZSTI in 2017, having previously worked as an agronomist and training specialist with NZSTI for 12 years. Her current role is Assistant Manager of the Sports Surfaces & Equipment division which includes our agronomy & sports surfaces testing services.
Tara also continues to contribute to our Training & Technology Solutions team, as a tutor, resource developer and subject matter expert. She is also also part of our international delivery team supporting the AGIF Certificate in Greenkeeping programme in Asia.
Tara is also an active Growsafe trainer, and has been teaching agrichemical safety in excess of 30 years
Prior to returning to the Institute, Tara was the Programme Leader at Manukau Institute of Technology, and more recently as Learning & Development Consultant at Primary ITO.
Tara holds the following qualifications or accreditations that relate to her current role:
Bachelor of Horticulture
National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education
MIT Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching
